MosaicOur adoption ministry, Mosaic, seeks to support those in our own church and community who are adopting, fostering or have been adopted. We partner with Union County DSS, Children’s Home Society, Lifeline Adoption Agency and the ABBA Fund. We also partner with HELP Crisis Pregnancy Center of Monroe and Garden of Hope Ministries. We are on Union County’s DSS board for final placement of children.
H.E.L.P. Crisis Pregnancy CenterFounded and led by Tara Quinn, H.E.L.P. Crisis Pregnancy Center offers support, at no cost, to any woman facing an unexpected pregnancy. They provide counseling and factual information to encourage women to consider alternatives to abortion. The H.E.L.P. Crisis Pregnancy Center exists for 3 purposes:
- To represent the voice of the unborn child.
- To minister to the two victims when it comes to abortion: the woman and the child.
- Most importantly, to share the gospel with all who enter their doors.
NC Food for FamiliesNC Food for Families partners with 8 local schools to collect food to be placed in bags and sent home with select children every Friday to ensure they have food to eat over the weekend. Currently, they feed 500 children each week!
Turning PointTurning Point, in Union County, is committed to turning our community away from domestic violence and providing victims and their dependent children with safe shelter while they learn how to break free from their abuser.
Safer CommunitiesFounded and led by Al Lewis Jr. for nearly 30 years, Safer Communities has been giving hope to the hopeless through building safer communities by transforming the lives of inmates, ex-offenders, those struggling with addiction and their families. Communities will be safer when the broken find healing, takers become givers and tax liabilities become tax paying, law abiding citizens. Safer Communities partners with religious organizations, community and government service providers, businesses and civic groups to break and decrease the Recidivism cycle.
Union County Community ShelterWe partner with the Union County Community Shelter which exists to provide reliable shelter support for adult men and women. They do this through providing the following services: adult extended stay sheltering, emergency family sheltering, adult overnight sheltering, soup kitchens, Hope Pantry and a Rapid Re-Housing program.
Believers in MercyVolunteer Meeting, 1st Thursdays, 7pm, Room B205 (unless otherwise noted)
Believers in Mercy partners with the Union County Community Shelter which exists to provide reliable shelter support for adult men and women. They do this through providing the following services: adult extended stay sheltering, emergency family sheltering, adult overnight sheltering, soup kitchens, Hope Pantry and a Rapid Re-Housing program. BIM pairs mentors with shelter residents for a six-week partnership. Mentors assist in the transition process with spiritual and emotional support as residents seek to resume life outside the shelter. Disaster ReliefDisaster Relief forms teams to be sent off following a natural disaster locally, nationally and internationally to help repair homes, construct new ones, clean up debris and work with local ministries in that particular area.
Dove’s Nest Ministry TeamFirst Sundays, 7-8:30pm, Charlotte Rescue Mission
