Our Joy Special Needs Ministry embraces the distinct needs of each individual. We celebrate each person’s unique abilities, recognizing that every person is a one-of-a-kind creation by God. Your child will discover God's purpose and plan for their lives. To ensure your time with us is a smooth and positive experience, we need some information about you and your child. This information affords us the opportunity to provide personalized support tailored to the specific needs of your child. Please take a moment to fill out the form below, and one of our team members will be in touch as we begin preparing for your family. We are excited to meet you and look forward to the opportunity to get to know your family better!
We have a desire to love and lead families we meet into an everyday walk with Christ. We believe the “felt” needs of most young families today are:
Families are looking for meaningful moments and family rituals rooted in routine. As parents, they are looking for inspiration, guidance, and solutions to carve out time to create these moments and rituals which emerge to strengthen the family as a whole. These moments of connectivity build a resilience that helps families through the challenging moments in their lives.
Families want to be—and be perceived as—good parents and prioritize their role as such. Young families also strive to lead connected lives, which is a key measurement of success for them. They place a high degree of importance on finding their passion and doing good, which significantly impacts how they approach their families and the role of parenting. The need for connectivity and meaning in life drives their immediate family interactions and spills over into broader definitions of family to include friends, coworkers, and communities, often defined by shared interests or faith. In short, families are looking for a group to “do life” with.
Families are looking for help with life. Kraft has recently launched a new campaign called Family Greatly where the word "family" has become a verb. Family Greatly creates an environment where perfection is overrated, telling parents that it doesn’t matter how they family, if it is done with kindness, conviction, and purpose. Encouragement and Investment should be focused into these three categories: Finances, Marriage, and Parenting.
Families will only invest in what’s intentionally meaningful. Ministries need to stand for something to appeal to the meaningful connection parents desire.
To see families:
To promote and execute a ministry-wide culture of cultivating the family as the primary source for spiritual nurturing of the next generation.
To intentionally influence parents to be the spiritual leaders of the home.
To work hand-in-hand with parents through the Kidz and Students age-group ministries to:
Leading by example through your personal discipleship, relationships, and habits.
Intentionally taking advantage of everyday opportunities for spiritual instruction.
Creating memories through celebrating special occasions and transitions.
Serving together as a family with an eternal purpose.
