THE CONNECTION BETWEEN GENEROSITY AND GOD’S CHARACTER, AS SHOWN THROUGH GOD’S BIG STORY
Jesus said, “It is more blessed to give than to receive.”(Acts 20:35, NIV) However, sometimes generosity doesn’t come naturally to us. We want the newest and best things, or we want everyone to notice what we have. When we really enjoy the things we have, sometimes that makes it harder for us to be willing to share with others. However, with the help of God’s Spirit, we can learn that HOW we give is more important than even WHAT we give. It’s about our hearts. God showed us the ultimate example of generosity by sending Jesus. This month, we’ll look at how we can respond by being generous to others.
WEEK ONE: Every Good and Perfect Gift (James 1:17)
Bottom Line: God gives us good things.
WEEK TWO: Widow of Zarephath (1 Kings 17:7-16)
Bottom Line: You always have something to give.
WEEK THREE: God Loves a Cheerful Giver (2 Corinthians 9:7)
Bottom Line: Give with a good attitude.
WEEK FOUR: Love in Action (1 John 3:16-18)
Bottom Line: Jesus showed us how to give.

We believe kids learn best in a small group environment, therefore, we have designated a specific time out of our Sunday morning schedule just for groups. These life groups give us opportunities to reinforce the main point of the day and talk about actual life application at the individual level. All classes are divided into grade levels for the best developmental engagement.
JumpStart is a class for children who are asking questions about salvation and/or baptism and their parents. It is also for children who have recently accepted Jesus, been baptized, or joined the church by letter. Please register below or contact Lara Wren for more information.

5th Graders! Join us for a time of serving and celebrating! Meet in the Kidz Theater where we will get a chance to love on our JOY Ministry families. From 3pm-4:30pm, we will bless them with some Christmas carols, gifts, and crafts.
Stay after to enjoy dinner and some hangout time. Don’t forget to wear your best Christmas attire!
